It begins....

I'm short on time. I've spent six months on this guide and "it" finally happened. Three hundred plus hours watching The X Files and suddenly,inexorably, inexplicably, inextricably,insisently, instinctively,...it all snapped into place! I knew "The Answer"-that answer to all my ponderous questions, to all my confusion. Like a well earned but still spontaneous smile from Special Agent Dana Scully, it was the final statement to tie every loose end and make everything make sense.

But do "they" know I know?

The answer is so primal, so mind-expanding that it threatens to undo all that it is in the X Files. Would "they" allow the telling? Would they dare to risk it all? Would they dare to lose their edge, their hook? their power? No. "They" would do anything to stop the spread of this kind of information.

The stakes are too high. We need...protection.

(Gunfire erupts. The computer monitor shatters. Circuits within spit and snap as blood shorts out connections. Papers dance like dust devils. Books shudder against an unfinished wall. A body thumps to the ground. Footsteps race away)
Wheezing quiet.
Groaning.

(An unsteady hand rises from the floor. It struggles toward the keyboard. An index finger presses the caps lock as the others find their places.)

I...R...(pause, finding one last ounce of strength)...I...O...T...
